The New Year brings with it a time to reflect and release old thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve us, and it is a time for us to embrace fresh beginnings! 


At Body Balance, we have great expectations for 2023! Not only do we have a great staff (which I refer to as the “dream team”), but there is also a little bit of magic going on here!  When you walk into the studio, you can feel that it is a special place; it is comfortable, nurturing and exciting all at the same time!

New Classes & Schedule Changes

 

We are making the following changes to our class schedule starting Monday, January 9th.

 

Tuesday mornings

The 8am class with Kaitlyn will change from Vinyasa Flow to Warm Yin + Flow.  If you’ve been to one of Kaitlyn’s Warm Yin + Flow on Thursday mornings you know that this is a great class that will leave you feeling totally refreshed!

We are going back to our 8am and 10am class schedule.

- At 8am we will be adding a Hot 26 Yoga class with Page Bishop and

- At 10am we will have Warm Yin + Flow with Kaitlyn Romei, this is the same class that was at 9am, it is just moving to a new time slot.

Friday afternoons

We are making some changes to our 5pm Candleight Gentle Restorative class with a new instructor and a new focus!

Tricia York will now be leading this class and she will blend in her specialization of mindfulness to bring a new dimension to this gentle class.

Sleep Workshop Series

 

Why am I still awake and what can I do about it? A therapeutic yoga workshop.


Trouble falling and staying asleep may well be one of our most common ailments in today's world. And it is so common and prevalent that we as a society no longer even recognize what chronic lack of sleep does to our bodies, our minds and our relationships with others. If you see yourself or those you love in this statement - join us.


In this workshop Patti and Bunkie will explore, through a therapeutic yoga lens, what science tells us about this problem and how can yoga help? From how we wake up in the morning to how we go back to sleep if we wake up in the night these sessions will offer practical takeaways and resources students can put to use right away.


There will be three (90) ninety minute sessions and each includes framing the issue, a practice, time for reflection and time for questions as well as resource information to take with you. The third session will also include yoga nidra.
